Who Are We?

We are type 1, type 1.5, and type 2 diabetics, pre-diabetics, gestational diabetics, recovering diabetics, caregivers of diabetics, and non-diabetics who are invested in preventing diabetes.

We are dietary vegans, lacto-ovo vegetarians, and Adventist non-vegetarians who eat only “clean” meat and fish. We are low-carb high-fat moderate-protein, high-carb low- or no-fat vegans, ADA-compliant, and many variations in between.

We are current and former Seventh-day Adventists or not Adventists at all, but we understand that Adventist non-vegetarians eat only “clean meat/fish” as described in Leviticus and Deuteronomy and that Adventists have a unique perspective on health as written about by 19th-century author Ellen G. White.

Mission Statement

To provide support, encouragement, affirmation, and information for diabetics who are also vegetarian and Seventh-day Adventist.

Vision Statement

For everyone who has ever been diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, gestational diabetes, or any other manifestation of metabolic syndrome to achieve and maintain a state of normal blood sugar and normal insulin levels, with accompanying healthy levels of triglycerides, HDL cholesterol, blood pressure, and other markers of physical health.

Core Values

“Pure air, sunlight, abstemiousness, rest, exercise, proper diet, the use of water, trust in divine power—these are the true remedies.” —Ellen G. White, Ministry of Healing, (Nampa: Pacific Press, 1905), page 127

Tagline

“Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.” (1 Thessalonians 5:21)
